Since the last Tomb Raider game, Angel of Darkness, didn't sell too well with the fans, publisher Eidos had to make a tough decision They sold the Tomb Raider franchise over to Crystal Dynamics in 2004 to continue the series. In 2006, Tomb Raider Legend was released, a new reboot to the franchise; fans couldn't be happier to get their hands on more Lara.

Story
After surviving a plane crash in the Himalayas at the age of nine, Lara and her mother Amelia stumble upon an ancient temple in Nepal. Amelia accidentally gets herself taken away in a mysterious dais in the temple in order to keep her daughter safe from harm. Her mother gone, Lara had to trek across the mountains to find a way of contacting her father to pick her up.
Present day, Lara Croft is looking for the same dais in Bolivia, from her father's research. Lara soon discovers there truly is more than one dais, but where do they lead to? In order to find out, she sets to find the pieces of Excalibur to activate the dais and get some answers.
